Ox-Out 415-L ALKALINE OXIDE REMOVER FOR STEEL AND 400 SERIES STAINLESS

Ox-Out 415-L is a liquid alkaline concentrate containing a combination-of-alkaline-salts, sequestrants, penetrants and biodegradable surfactants. Formulated to remove rust, oxides, light scale, smut, oil, grease and some paints from steel and 400 series stainless steels.

WHAT IT DOES:

OxOut 415-L is formulated to remove rust, oxides, light scale, smut, oil, grease and some paints from steel and 400 series stainless steels. OxOut 415-L's unique action removes soils, greases, carbon deposits and other insoluble residues while dissolving smuts and oxides normally-requiring a second acidic step. In some cases, OxOut 415-L can be used as a secondary smut remover and neutralizer after an acid cleaning step.

WHAT IT IS:

Ox-Out 415-L is a liquid alkaline concentrate containing a combination-of-alkaline-salts, sequestrants, penetrants and biodegradable surfactants.

HOW TO USE IT:

Hot Soak Tank Operation - Dilutions of OxOut 415-L will vary with the type and amount of oxides and soil to be removed. Typical dilutions range from one (1) part 415-L to two (2) parts water, to a one (1) part 415-L to ten (10) parts water. Recommended temperature 180ºF - 220ºF. (Time will vary with material, oxides and soil.)

Electro Cleaning - Dilute one (1) part 41 5-L with one to four parts water. Operate at temperature of 160ºF - 200ºF. Current densities of 75 to 200 amps per square foot are typical. A sequence of direct-reverse-direct current is advised. Time will vary with application.

Special Applications - For specific information on spray, soak or electrocleaning applications, consultation with your technical representative is advised. A laboratory evaluation of your specific problem is available and advised.

Note: As OxOut 415-L is strongly alkaline, it should not be used on aluminum, zinc, die cast, galvanized, tin, tin plate or other soft metals.

CAUTION:

Strong caustic solution - Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wear proper protective clothing and gloves. See Material Safety Data Sheet for detailed directions.
