OX-OUT 536 SCALE AND OXIDE REMOVER FOR STAINLESS STEEL
No.536 removes welding, brazing, heat treating and annealing oxides, stains and temper colors from 300 series stainless steel, monel inconel and other nickel alloys.
OX-OUT 536 removes welding, brazing, heat treating and annealing oxides, stains and temper colors from 300 series stainless steel, monel inconel and other nickel alloys. Works quickly... without abrasives, grinding or wire brushing.
IMMERSION:
Use OX-OUT #536 as received. Remove oil, grease or soil from parts with Chem Clean #101 or solvent prior to dipping. The correct immersion time limits should be determined by testing. During testing, remove parts at frequent intervals to evaluate time of cleaning. Dip parts while warm from processing for faster cleaning or use at room temperature. Small pieces will take from one to thirty minutes. Rinse in clean water. Work areas should be ventilated.
POWER PAK #85:
Large pieces which cannot be immersed can be descaled safely and quickly using POWER PAK #85 and OX-OUT #536.
TO OPERATE:
Attach clip to work piece, turn on the switch, dip applicator into OX-OUT #536 and wipe over scale... no pressure needed! Rinse or wipe with wet sponge and clean water.
ALUMINUM PRE-WELD SURFACE CONDITIONER:
OX-OUT #536 removes oxides from all grades of aluminum.
- X-Ray quality welds can be achieved
- Produces cleaner welds by removing the higher meltling refractory oxide layer.
- Allows for DCEN [straight polarity] welding procedures.
- Eliminates sanding and brushing.
Immerse in OX-OUT #536, as received, for thirty (30) seconds to two (2) minutes, or wipe area to be welded using synthetic sponge. Rinse with clean water.
SOLUTION TANKS:
Polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC tanks or trays, or stainless steel lined with polyethylene or PVC. DO NOT USE BREAKABLE GLASS CONTAINERS. STAINLESS STEEL CONTAINERS ALONE WILL REACT WITH #536 AND DILUTE IT'S STRENGHT.
CAUTION:
Strong Acid Mixture... Personnel handling and using OX-OUT #536 should wear proper acid proof clothing and gloves. Eye protection is required. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. See Material Safety Data Sheet for hazard communication standards.
